Admissions Policy

Admissions Policy

Whitehall Christian School offers a Christian education to families who desire a Christ-centered education for their children and who are supportive of WCS School Objectives and standards of education. Our purpose is to serve families who desire not simply a non-public school education,  but a distinctively Christian education for their children.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Whitehall Christian School admits students of any gender, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students in the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs or other school-administered programs.

New Student Admission Requirements

When you have determined that Whitehall Christian School could be a good fit for your family, you can begin the application process by downloading and completing a registration form. As part of the application process you will need to:

  • Complete the registration form
  • Provide, for a student enrolling at WCS for the first time, two letters of recommendation, including contact information from recent teachers/administrators/pastor from his/her previous school/church
  • Submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Submit current academic and health records from his/her previous school

Available seats are offered first to students whose parents are members of our faculty and staff, then to previously enrolled students, and then opened to families who are new to WCS. Seats are not reserved for any student until the student is accepted through the application and interview/assessment*process and the non-refundable registration fee is paid.

Educational Support

Here at WCS, our first priority is the nurture and success of our students. Because we are a small school, we are unable to provide a full-time special education teacher.  For students requiring additional educational support, we may request that they be evaluated by specialists from the Lehigh-Carbon County Intermediate Unit to determine if the services that the IU offers or if the WCS learning environment will provide the support needed for your child to succeed.

Behavioral Support

Because we are a small school, WCS is unable to provide a full-time special education teacher.  Regretfully, we are unable to address the needs of students with serious emotional/behavioral issues.  As such, students must exhibit a history of acceptable citizenship at previous schools they attended.

WCS age cutoff dates

  • Pre K:  Age 4 by August 1
  • Kindergarten: Age 5 by August 1
  • The August 1st cutoff is firm and is NOT evaluated on a student by student basis.

For new students, a registration form can be downloaded by clicking on the link.

Returning Student Admission Requirements

For returning WCS students, a re-enrollment form can be downloaded by clicking on the link.  Since you are a returning student, all other documents should be on file in the office.
